Our classes are unique within our industry. We provide a learning experience taught by professional goldsmiths in a professional studio. We teach the professional techniques widely accepted in the jewelry trade. Especially unusual: We provide the precious metals and gemstones required to complete each session project. You will enjoy the creative processes universally enjoyed by artisans the world over, AND leave with an item of true value, worthy of wearing yourself, or precious enough to give as a gift.

- First Friday: Journaling with jewelry in mind. Planning and patterning, or getting your ideas onto your metal. This is a shorter session (1-4 @ $125). It is helpful to complete this course first so your patterns are ready for any of the other sessions. It’s a more in depth study of patterning than we have time to explore in the other sessions, and having completed patterns saves valuable bench time later.
- Second Friday: Bench 101.
- Third Friday: Bench 101, or beadstringing, or Form preparation for enamelists.
- Fourth Friday and Saturday: Lost wax casting class. Carve a wax on Friday, cast and finish on Saturday.
Materials fee: Is included, but additional material is available for purchase should you want, or have time, to complete more than one project.
For those who have completed our class sessions and feel capable of working on their own, we offer workbench rentals hourly on days we are not hosting a silversmithing experience.
Introduction to the professional metalsmithing workshop. Seminar participants will fabricate a sterling silver work of art using a variety of basic tools of the silversmithing trade. Getting comfortable on the workbench is a precursor to success in any other workshop setting. For beginners and experienced craftspeople alike. We will provide a variety of patterns for you, but you are welcome to design your own on the blank we provide. Monthly Class schedule: 11am-4pm
Starting from $250.00
